Yes, I agree with you. "炒股票虽然可能多赚点，但那是操着卖白粉的心，挣着卖白菜的钱啊！" Exactly right. I try to avoid overtrading.

I only used about 10% for my trading account and 5% for hedge by trading ES when it needs.

I really do not know the answer. From the quarterly fund report, the top sector funds  in the past Q belong to precious metal, energy, natural gas, health care, biotech, transport and electronics. overall mid cap is better than large and small cap. Gold and oil fires up.

Energy funds are slower down in the past a few days and I moved a little bit to retailing, financial, china region and mid cap value funds.

Diversification and risk control is important. Investing with DRIPs also help for the long run especially in this kind of bull market. I hedge my 401K positions with short term trading account if it needs.

FSAGX (Gold), FSELX (Electronics), FSESX (energy), FSPHX(health)
FNARX(natural resources), FRESX(real estate), FPHAX(pharmaceuticals),
and FSUTX (utilities) YTD all > 15% so far.

All depend on your timing of entry. Last year FSAGX might be one of the worst fund. energy, utilities and real estate are all worse than SPX.

Thanks! The holdings are interesting.
Last time I tried to buy Vanguard Wellington investor Fund (VWELX), but it is closed to new investors.
