[公告] Dec, 23

U.S. equities are up again ahead of the opening bell and may reach another all-time high to start the week.  Last week saw stocks rocket higher after positive economic data and a surprise taper decision by the FOMC on Wednesday. The International Monetary Fund’s Managing Director Christine Lagarde raised...
estimates on the U.S. economy which also has also helped stocks today. They expect that growth will accelerate into 2014 as economic conditions continue to improve. Volatility in the option market will most likely continue to slide if equities remain in positive territory today. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) fell another 2.5% on Friday as stocks hit another all-time high. Gold futures (/GC) are trading at the $1200 an ounce level and may see further downside as inflation concerns are waning.  Treasuries are slightly lower, as are most European bonds, while equities are modestly higher. Trading was very quiet, in holiday thinned mode, with a Japanese holiday exacerbating the low volumes. The 10-year Treasury yield was steady just under 2.90% and continues to set its sights on the psychological 3% level. There wasn't much news overnight with a sparse calendar overseas. Today's U.S. economic calendar includes November personal income and consumption, which will help fine tune Q4 GDP forecasts, along with the final print on December consumer sentiment. Volumes should remain light throughout the week but we could see some swings as investors position their portfolios for the end of the year.

Stock Stories: Apple (AAPL) –About time?! – The tech product leader finally announced the long-awaited agreement with China mobile over the weekend. With over 700 million subscribers, the deal will add significant sales and revenue.  Is the news already built into the shares at this point is the question.  The shares are up 3% ahead of the opening bell and could see a sustained rally if more upgrades and price target raises are in the mix.
