U.S. jobless claims are projected to fall to 350,000 in the week ended March 30 from an initial read of 357,000 two weeks ago, according to economists polled by MarketWatch. The report will be released by the Labor Department at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. The last report on claims put them above 350,000 for the first time in a month and a half. The latest numbers will draw more scrutiny than usual after another pair of economic signposts suggest the labor market has softened. |
