1698-1680 middle point is 1689. Decisively breaking SPX 1690 means short term bull.  
Of course, time and range for such bull are just 1-2 days and 15-20 SPX points.

Currently the market is testing 1689-1690. No decisively breaking yet.

I've put a stop for my current short position at 1692.

I just reduced my short position to a very small amount, which may afford SPX to 1700+.

Although SPX has no clear picture, QQQ is clearly at breaking position to 75.5 (74.5->75->75.5) . RUT is at breaking point to 1066 (1040->1053->1066).
So if SPX follows QQQ/RUT to higher level, 1700 should be the target (1680->1690->1700).
