和打电话的小姐纠缠了半天。最后她的上司来跟我谈,说是因为防止盗用信用卡的行为,戴尔和联邦政府合作,要求顾客提供有关信息。“当然,我们不是指控你假冒,只是为了保障你的信息安全”,他说。
打开雅虎信箱一看,对方问了一连串问题,我这里贴上来:
1. Cardholder name and billing address for the credit card that was used.
2. The shipping address for the order and the name of the person who will sign for the package, & a phone number to reach them.
3. Is the shipping address a business address? Name of the business? Phone number for the business?
4. We will also need to know if the computer is going to be exported or will it be staying in the US.
5. Country card was issued in & the name of the issuing bank.
其中不但要求重复信用卡信息,还要询问这台电脑是留在美国还是要出口,不知他们这么紧张兮兮地做什么。结果,本来很简单的事,又要劳累我再打电话去分说。受人之托,忠人之事,也真是无可奈何。
